2023 marks PressBox’s seventh annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Katie Detwiler And Jillian Wilson
Loyola took home four of the six major Patriot League women’s lacrosse awards in 2023, and for a couple of program stalwarts, it was old hat.
Katie Detwiler won Defensive Player of the Year for a third consecutive year, while Jillian Wilson won Midfielder of the Year for a second straight season.
Detwiler won 68 draws and caused 17 turnovers, while Wilson scored 61 goals and assisted on 19 others. The star duo’s five years at Loyola featured 72 wins.
