Victor Wembanyama over 22.5 points.
Wemby is averaging 29.4 points in 2024 and has been white hot of late. The Rockets have played sound defensively and the rookie superstar did suffer a mild shoulder injury late Sunday against the Pacers, but if he can go, Wemby will be able to create shots and get to the free throw line enough to put up 25 points or more.
Paolo Banchero over 21.5 points.
The Magic and Hornets are slower-paced teams, which combined with the heavy spread made this line lower than typical for the young star. However, the Hornets haven’t been blown out at home in quite some time and Banchero just put up 35 points against a slow-paced Knicks squad.
Trey Murphy III 3+ threes made.
Murphy has played at least 28 minutes in the Pelicans’ last five contests, and after Brandon Ingram put 41 on the Raptors last time they played, I would anticipate the Raptors to give Ingram more attention which should lead to catch-and-shoot opportunities for Murphy, where the Raptors have struggled to defend.
Gradey Dick over 10.5 points.
Dick has seen increased minutes since the break, and he has broken 10 points each time he has played 20 minutes during that stretch. The rookie shooter could see increased minutes regardless of game script as the Raptors sit 10.5 games back of playoff contention in the Eastern Conference.
