Over the past few months of posting these picks, I’ve aimed to use trends, any modicum of expertise and data points to make picks. These picks have sprinkles of that: College Of Charleston doesn’t turn the ball over, won their conference tournament, has depth, shoots the ball well from range and cleans the boards well, but lacks a resume against a battle-tested Alabama squad. Grand Canyon is more battle-tested, with a signature win against San Diego State, with a stingy defense and diverse scorers.
These picks are for the fun of it, if nothing else. It’s March. It’s the first round. I’m laying my money on upsets and rooting them on. Have fun, live a little. Go underdogs, go!
