The Wolfpack are deep, experienced and calm regardless of game script. They manage foul trouble well and are versatile enough to answer defensive strategy from Purdue. DJ Burns’ unique shot creation and playmaking will present obstacles that Zach Edey hasn’t seen and enable NC State to keep pace with a strong Purdue squad.
Orioles-Pirates over 8.5 runs scored
Orioles pitchers not named Grayson Rodriguez have struggled their first time through the order, and with Tyler Wells on the mound, the Pirates should be able to make solid contact enough to put runs on the board. The top of the Orioles’ lineup has been locked in enough to hurt Bailey Falter, who was rocked in his first start, and get to the Pirates bullpen early.
