Orioles Parlay of the Day: Ryan O’Hearn to record a hit + Gunnar Henderson to record a hit + under 8.5 total runs + first inning tie.
Logan Gilbert is outstanding, but Gunnar Henderson and Ryan O’Hearn have combined for +14 run value against sliders, Gilbert’s best pitch. O’Hearn is 2-for-5 against Gilbert while Henderson is 0-for-2 with a walk. Seattle is where runs go to die, and with Gilbert on the mound, Seattle likely won’t surrender more than four runs, while their anemic lineup doesn’t have a single batter hitting .270. That smells a lot like last night’s matchup, as long as Dean Kremer can limit the Mariners to less than five runs across five or so innings, which is entirely possible considering they’ve only scored 5+ runs once in their past dozen games.
