2024 marks PressBox’s eighth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.

Trailing the Chargers 10-7 late in the second quarter in late November, the Ravens were backed up at their own 16-yard line facing a fourth-and-1.
They lined up to go for it but unsurprisingly were just trying to draw the Chargers offsides ahead of the two-minute warning. Thinking cooler heads had prevailed, fans were a bit surprised to see the team lining up to go for it after the timeout.
It was a bold call. No NFL team had picked up a fourth down starting inside its own 20-yard line since 2012. But the gamble paid off. Mark Andrews took the direct snap and pushed forward for the conversion.
The Ravens went on to pick up a go-ahead touchdown on the drive and never looked back en route to a 30-23 road win.
