2024 marks PressBox’s eighth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best College Athletes: Alyssa Alexander
There are plenty of notable statistics from bowler Alyssa Alexander’s senior campaign at Mount St. Mary’s in 2023-24, but we’ll keep it simple.
More than half of her 991 frames on the season — 520, to be exact — resulted in strikes, helping her become just the third bowler in Mount history to earn All-America honors.
Basically, she’s good enough to say Pete Weber’s famous line — “Who do you think you are? I am!” — at the bowling alley and pull it off without a hint of irony.
