2024 marks PressBox’s eighth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best College Athletes: Victoria Kadiri
Johns Hopkins track and field standout Victoria Kadiri entered the 2024 NCAA Division III Women’s Outdoor Track Championships in May looking to win her third consecutive Triple Jump title … and she did it in dramatic fashion.
The final jump of Kadiri’s Blue Jays career came in at 13.04 meters, beating the 12.75-meter mark she needed to clear to win the Triple Jump title.
It was her ninth individual national championship, tied for the most by a Hopkins athlete with Bill Milne, who swam for the Jays in the ’70s. Not a bad way to go out.
