2024 marks PressBox’s eighth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Double-Double Trouble
One of the biggest storylines in the historic 2024 WNBA season was the play of Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese (Saint Frances).
The Randallstown native built off of her college career by breaking a number of league records, including 15 consecutive double-doubles and a new rookie record with 26 double-doubles overall. Her season was cut short by six games due to injury, leaving her two double-doubles shy of the overall league record.
One of the highlights of her season was a June double-double in a win against the Mystics that was played in front of 10,000 fans after the game had to be moved to Capital One Arena due to ticket demand.
