2024 marks PressBox’s eighth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.

Navy was facing fourth-and-5 from its own 47-yard line in the fourth quarter against Army on Dec. 14.
Ahead 21-13, Mids head coach Brian Newberry decided to try to put the game away rather than give the ball back to the Black Knights in a one-possession game. Navy ran a fake punt, with up-man Landon Robinson — who moves extremely well for a 285-pound nose tackle — setting up another Mids touchdown.
Navy defeated Army, 31-13, to improve to 9-3 on the season. The Mids hadn’t beaten the Black Knights since 2021.
