2024 marks PressBox’s eighth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Lead Singers
MASN broadcasters Kevin Brown and Ben McDonald are known for their pipes, but this season they used their vocal chords to make some music.
As part of the team’s “Early Bird Saturday” promotion, Brown joined the band Here’s to the Night on-stage in May to perform Blink 182’s hit “All the Small Things.” It was a fitting choice after Brown’s impression of the band went viral in 2023. He kept his singing career going when he joined famous Orioles fan Joan Jett on-stage during a June show at Merriweather Post Pavilion to sing backup on a pair of songs.
Not to be outdone, McDonald hopped on stage with the band Skies In Chaos before an August game to belt out Garth Brooks’ classic “Friends in Low Places.”
