2024 marks PressBox’s eighth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Second Half
At halftime of their AFC divisional round playoff game against the Texans, the Ravens were caught in a 10-10 tie and were in danger of another early playoff exit.
But as that day’s halftime performers Jimmy Eat World say, “It just takes some time … you’re in the middle of the ride. Everything will be just fine.” The Ravens scored all four times they touched the ball in the second half, outscoring Houston 24-0 the rest of the way to claim a 34-10 win.
The win clinched the first AFC championship game in Baltimore in Ravens history and the first overall since the Colts beat the Raiders in January 1971.
