If a trip to the College Football Playoff championship is on the line, there’s no one better to have on your side than Saint Frances graduate Derrick Moore.
The Michigan edge rusher stuffed Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe on fourth-and-goal from the 3-yard line to ice the Wolverines’ 27-20 semifinal win on New Year’s Day, setting up Michigan’s coronation a week later.
Moore gave credit to teammate Josaiah Stewart for wrecking the play. “If he didn’t blow up the tackle and trip up the quarterback, I would’ve never made the play,” Moore told PressBox in January.
