2024 marks PressBox’s eighth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Tribute
Stevenson men’s lacrosse earned the No. 2 seed in the MAC Commonwealth tournament with a 6-1 mark in league play, then dispatched No. 3 Messiah, 26-19, in the semifinals.
That left the Mustangs with a championship matchup against No. 4 Eastern, which had upset top-seeded York in the other semifinal. Stevenson won, 21-3, to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
The postgame celebration included a poignant tribute to former Mustangs lacrosse star Callum Robinson, who was killed at the age of 33 along with his brother Jake and friend Jack Rhoad in Mexico’s Baja California in late April.
