2024 marks PressBox’s eighth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.

Harford Community College and CCBC-Essex men’s lacrosse put together quite a three-part series in 2024.
The two teams met in the regular season, with the Fighting Owls winning, 12-11. The two then played in the NJCAA Region 20 championship in Arnold, with the Knights prevailing, 14-9. And finally, the two met in the NJCAA championship game in Bel Air, with the Owls coming out on top, 16-6.
Sure, HCC got the last laugh. But CCBC-Essex ruined what could have been a second consecutive perfect season for the Owls.
