Zion Elee, Trey Mancini, Peter Milliman and Shawn Nadelen recently joined Glenn Clark Radio. Here’s what they had to say.
“I mean, I kind of just laugh. … I’m a top-five guy in the country. They wouldn’t expect me to go to Maryland. So it’s kind of just funny that I’m actually going to be at Maryland, and they’re going to all think I’m flipping.”
– Five-star Saint Frances edge rush prospect and Maryland Class of 2026 commit Zion Elee Jan. 2 on those who doubt he’ll stay true to his commitment
“Last year a lot of the year I thought I was going to be done. I was at peace, but there was a part of me that knew I could still play if given the chance. I thought I owed it to myself to go work out. I’m going to be working out anyway. I love hitting, everything like that, so put the work in and you never know what can happen. That’s what I did. I wanted to have no regrets.”
– Former Orioles slugger Trey Mancini Jan. 27 on his hopes to get another chance to continue his MLB career
“Absolutely. An experience like that will stay with you for a long time. Forever. I also think it’s something that the guys talk about here every year, the opportunity or the responsibility to compete for national championships. That’s where we want to be. That’s what we want to be doing.”
– Johns Hopkins lacrosse coach Peter Milliman Jan. 28 on whether there’s a sense of unfinished business for his team after falling in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals each of the past two years
“This team, the 2025 team, hasn’t accomplished anything yet. We don’t necessarily talk about it every day or anything like that. … So in regards to past successes, we look at it more as, ‘How is the experience going to help us get better? What are some things that we want to be aware of in regards to lessons learned along the way?'”
– Towson lacrosse coach Shawn Nadelen Jan. 28 on how his team is primed to build off of last year’s CAA title and NCAA Tournament appearance with so many pieces back
