Orioles slugger Ryan O’Hearn, Ravens fullback Patrick Ricard, Maryland basketball commit Darius Adams and lacrosse superstar Rob Pannell recently joined Glenn Clark Radio. Here’s what they had to say.

“Media and fans, they’re passionate. They overreact sometimes. Or in their mind, maybe not overreact. They react how they think they should be reacting. And that’s fine. It shows how much they care, so that’s great. But for us, the guys in the locker room that have to go out and play the game, that can be a distraction. So I think you’ve got to find a way to shut that out.”
– Orioles slugger Ryan O’Hearn April 17 on how the team handled its early struggles this season

“Why would I want to play maybe a year or two in a different place when I can just play every single year on the same team and just have my legacy keep growing with this organization, the community and the team? When my career’s all said and done, if I do end up making the Ring of Honor, that’s really important to me. I feel like that’s one of the biggest achievements you can have.”
– Ravens fullback Patrick Ricard April 21 on why he continues to re-sign with the Ravens

“Coach Buzz is definitely a coach that wins anywhere he goes. So that’s the first thing. I feel like the players that he got from Texas A&M to come with him and then the players that we got in the transfer portal are definitely going to help. And I think with me, it’s just going to be even better. I think we’re going to be competing for a top spot in the Big Ten.”
– Five-star Maryland basketball commit Darius Adams May 6 on whether a group of new players can come together quickly to win next year with Buzz Williams

“I don’t have many years left. … I was just kind of looking at some other teams out there. I wanted to make a change. I needed it personally. And I wanted to go to a team that I knew had an already established culture with great leadership. Knowing a guy like Matt [Rambo], we’re very close. Matt makes it easy for anybody to come to a team.”
