Let’s dive into some news and notes around the league, my top fantasy plays and favorite picks for Week 4.
Notes:
• It was quarterbacks dropping like flies last week. This week, it is the skill players who headline the big injuries. CeeDee Lamb could be placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury. Mike Evans has a hamstring injury, while Terry McLaurin is dealing with a quad issue. With all three likely out this week, check my player rankings for which receivers to start in their place.
• Running backs were not spared. James Conner and Najee Harris are both out for the season. Tyrone Tracy Jr. will also miss time with a shoulder injury. Trey Benson, Omarion Hampton and Cam Skattebo need to be rostered in all leagues. I am not afraid to start any of these RBs this week.
• We keep saying the tight end position is as deep as ever every preseason. Once the season starts, everyone is scrambling to find a consistent TE if you did not invest in one of the top players. Tucker Kraft followed up his TE1 finish in Week 2 by finishing TE26 in Week 3. Zach Ertz was not much better after a TE2 finish last week. He ended Week 3 as TE24. At this point, I am playing the matchups each week if you are not rostering Brock Bowers, Trey McBride or Tyler Warren.
• Important reminder that there is an international game this week that will kick off at 9:30 a.m EST. Inactive players for the Vikings and Steelers will be announced around 8 a.m. We have two Monday Night Football games again this week too. Make sure to set your lineups accordingly.
• Bye weeks also become a factor in Week 5. If your quarterback or tight end is on a bye next week, I recommend picking up a replacement this week. You will not be the only person looking for QB or TE help if you wait until Week 5.
• Remember to check the weather heading into Sunday for your kicker selection.
