With two holes left in the event, Scottie Scheffler held a narrow one-shot lead over Robert MacIntyre. The bad news was that his third shot on the par-4 17th hole was coming from the rough some 81 feet from the hole. The good news was that he is Scottie Scheffler.
The world No. 1 chipped onto the green and 14 seconds later the ball dropped into the cup for what was essentially a tournament-clinching birdie.
