2025 marks PressBox’s ninth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best College Athletes: Anna Salerno
Anna Salerno scored 58 goals during the first three years of her career with Mount St. Mary’s women’s lacrosse … so she decided to nearly double that total as a senior.
The 5-foot-5 midfielder scored 52 goals in 2025, netting at least two goals in all but two games. Salerno also picked up 22 ground balls and caused18 turnovers.
She led the Mount to an 11-6 record, its first winning record since 2021. The Bel Air native and Patterson Mill graduate will finish up her college career at Penn State.
