Best College Athletes: Cristal Cuervo And Piper Jons
Some of us moved pretty slowly on campus back in our college days. That is not the case for Towson’s Cristal Cuervo and Piper Jons.
At the CAA Indoor Track & Field Championship in February, Jons won the women’s 200- and 400-meter dash events, with Cuervo finishing third and fourth, respectively. The two teamed up in the 4×400-meter dash, an event they won alongside Jasmine Scott and Maya Tucker.
In April, Jons was named the Track Athlete of the Year for the 2024-25 CAA indoor season. At the CAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship in May, Cuervo won the women’s 200- and 400-meter dash events.
