2025 marks PressBox’s ninth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best College Athletes: Emmanuel Leblond
It would be difficult to finish a cross country career better than Johns Hopkins senior Emmanuel Leblond did at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in Spartanburg, S.C., in November.
The 5-foot-9, 130-pound runner won the individual 8k title in 23 minutes and 35 seconds, setting a championship record, becoming the first Blue Jay to win an individual national title and earning All-America honors for a fourth consecutive year.
Leblond ran against a total of 1,222 competitors in the fall, beating all but seven of them.
