2025 marks PressBox’s ninth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Contract Year
Ravens punter Jordan Stout had been (at best) uneven during his first three seasons after being drafted to replace the legendary Sam Koch. But this year he finally turned the corner, just in time to cash in.
Through early December, Stout’s 51.3-yard gross punting average was third-best in the NFL. Not only did he start to get more precise on his punts inside the 20, he also started to show off how dangerous his big leg could be.
In November, he matched a franchise record with a 74-yard punt against the Jets. He averaged 61.5 yards on four punts in the game, the sixth-highest for a single game in the NFL since 1960.
