Best History-Maker
In August, former Terp Alyssa Thomas did something no WNBA player had ever done before.
She tallied 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists against the Indiana Fever, becoming the first player to record three consecutive triple-doubles in league history. She set a new WNBA record with eight triple-doubles on the season, particularly impressive when you consider that no other WNBA player has ever had more than four … in a career!
Thomas came just about one rebound and one assist short of averaging a triple double for the season, finishing third in MVP voting as she led the Phoenix Mercury to the WNBA Finals.
