2025 marks PressBox’s ninth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best “Made The Most Of The Situation”
In February, local basketball fans were thrilled to hear that two games between the Indiana Fever and Washington Mystics would be relocated to Baltimore’s CFG Bank Arena. Large ticket prices were paid on the secondary market for both the May and September matchups.
Unfortunately for many of those fans, injuries prevented Fever superstar Caitlin Clark from playing in either contest. To her credit, Clark still attended both games with massive crowds and signed lots of autographs.
The teams split the two games, which were moved due to the large crowds expected and ongoing renovations at D.C.’s Capital One Arena.
