Hi there!

I guess I am supposed to start this with I’m Back!

Yes, your favorite fantasy football “expert” has returned after a few years away. Yes, just like Glenn Clark said I would be. How I am returning will have to wait until they have me back on Glenn Clark Radio at some point.

So according to AI:

Ken Zalis (often known as “KZ”) is a prominent Baltimore-area sports analyst, writer and high school athletic professional.

He is best known for his extensive coverage of Baltimore sports, particularly the NFL Draft and fantasy football. Here is a breakdown of his primary roles:

1. Sports Media & Analysis PressBox: KZ is a longtime football analyst and writer for PressBox, a Baltimore sports publication. He heavily covers the Baltimore Ravens, creating highly anticipated annual NFL Mock Drafts, seven-round Ravens mocks and positional rankings.

2. Glenn Clark Radio: He is a frequent guest on Glenn Clark Radio, where he offers regular commentary on the Ravens, the NFL and college sports (particularly his beloved Miami Hurricanes).

3. Fantasy Football Expert: He provides regular fantasy football rankings, waiver wire advice and weekly draft strategy recommendations for various platforms, including FantasyPros. (I was once considered pretty good at this.)

So, let me reintroduce myself:

1. I’ll write two articles a week prior to the season, mostly mock drafts and strategy information.

2. Rankings: You can see my draft and weekly rankings all season long right here. They will come out every Thursday. I rank and write in Half-PPR terms. There are a million formats for fantasy football. My rankings will include Half-PPR, Full-PPR, Standard and Superflex, but when I write, I write in Half-PPR terms.

3. Articles will come out every Tuesday and Thursday during the season.
a. Tuesdays will be a look back at the week that was, with news and notes, plus waiver-wire possibilities, players to watch and a brief preview of the week ahead.
b. Thursdays will get you ready for the games, with starts, sits, and sleepers, plus a DFS lineup or two.
c. Bonus articles when the mood strikes me.

4. What do I believe in?
a. There ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing artificial turf.
b. I believe in the hanging curveball.

Wait, wrong speech:

1. Running backs are king. They have always been king. They always will be king. Draft at least two of them in the first four rounds.

2. Quarterbacks can wait until Rounds 8-10. If I come away with Jared Goff and Tyler Shough this year, color me a happy man. Goff is criminally undervalued in fantasy.

3. Tight ends: It’s Trey McBride and Brock Bowers in Round 2 and Tyler Warren in Round 4. Otherwise, I can wait and wait and wait. Target guys like Brenton Strange (Jacksonville), Juwan Johnson (New Orleans) and Chig Okonkwo (Washington) and sleep like a baby.

4. Load up on wide receivers and running backs. If you are in a one-quarterback league, only take one quarterback in the draft. The same can be said at tight end.

5. If you play with kickers and defenses, take who you want starting in Round 12. The position players in Rounds 12 and 13 are statistically about the same as the players you will draft in Rounds 14-16, so take the guys you want at kicker and defense. Stay ahead of the runs.

6. Yes, it’s OK to take Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson in Round 3, but never before that in a one-QB league.

So, that should get us going for now — much more in the days and weeks ahead. I am happy to be back. I am excited to get back into it. I never stopped playing. I am still in 20-plus leagues, many of them dynasty leagues. I have already drafted more than 100 best-ball teams. It’s in my blood, I feel refreshed.

So let’s go! A few last things:

Follow me on Twitter @KZfansfantasy. (Call it whatever you want. I am old. It’s Twitter and the Chargers play in San Diego.) The old one is long gone if you followed me there. As always, I will try and answer all questions ASAP.

SUNDAYS: Stay tuned for a possible KZ takeover of PressBox every Sunday, hosted by Glenn Clark and me. (Well, just me. I just wanted to see if Glenn was paying attention.)

Lastly, Glenn, you were correct. I came back. It does not matter how or why. As always, Glenn was right.

See you all soon here, there and everywhere!
