Week 1 is behind us, and it didn’t take long for injuries to become a factor. Plus, we’ve got some clarity on some running back situations around the league.

Here are the top waiver-wire pickups heading into Week 2:

Jameis Winston, QB, New Orleans Saints: Winston is a player to target if you lost Dak Prescott due to injury. His assortment of weapons in the passing game will pay dividends.

Kirk Cousins, QB, Minnesota Vikings: Don’t be afraid to stack Cousins with Justin Jefferson. This duo is going to put up big numbers this season.

Darrell Henderson, RB, Los Angeles Rams: Henderson got the start over Cam Akers and finished with 18 touches, compared to just three total for Akers. Henderson is the guy to own in this backfield, at least for the time being.

Zack Moss, RB, Buffalo Bills: Moss saw more action than anticipated after James Cook’s fumble and finished with a surprising six receptions. This is frustrating for Devin Singletary truthers.

Jeff Wilson, RB, San Francisco 49ers: Wilson took over for Elijah Mitchell once Mitchell went down with an injury. He’s a must-start if Mitchell misses extended time.

Jaylen Warren, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers: Najee Harris injured his ankle and Warren took over. Harris is likely to be out for several weeks, which could vault Warren into RB2 range.

Michael Carter, RB, New York Jets: It’s a time share with Breece Hall at the moment after Carter finished with 17 touches, compared to 12 for Hall. Both should be rostered but keep them out of your lineup for time being.

Tyler Allgeier, RB, Atlanta Falcons: He was a healthy scratch in Week 1, but Allgeier is the backup to own if Damien Williams’ injury is serious. He is still one of my favorite stash players for later this season and an opportunity could be coming sooner than expected.

Khalil Herbert, RB, Chicago Bears: Herbert was on the field in crunch time instead of David Montgomery. Keep an eye on this situation.

James Robinson, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars: Travis Etienne was the talk of the summer, but Robinson found the end zone twice, while Etienne only had six touches total.

Jamaal Williams, RB, Detroit Lions: D’Andre Swift looked terrific, but Williams vultured two touchdowns. Williams will be involved more than Swift owners will appreciate.

Dontrell Hilliard, RB, Tennessee Titans: Hilliard is the clear backup to Derrick Henry and he’s going to get work in the passing game.

Rex Burkhead, RB, Houston Texans: Dameon Pierce was everyone’s favorite sleeper, but Burkhead was on the field for 71 percent of the snaps. Pierce’s time is coming, but for now, it’s Burkhead’s job.

Corey Davis, WR, New York Jets: I’ve been talking about him all offseason and he delivered. He led the Jets in receptions (6) and receiving yards (77) on nine targets. He’s the top receiver on their depth chart.

Jahan Dotson, WR, Washington Commanders: Dotson scored two touchdowns and ran a route on 97.5 percent of the Commanders’ pass plays. He’s going to be heavily involved.

Jarvis Landry, WR, New Orleans Saints: Led the Saints in targets and receiving yards. The Saints’ top three wide receivers are all flex-worthy players.

Julio Jones, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The future Hall of Famer finished second to Mike Evans in targets (5), receptions (3) and receiving yards (69) and got two carries on the ground as well. The Bucs want to get him the ball.

Taysom Hill, TE, New Orleans Saints: He’s listed as a tight end and it’s clear the Saints want to get the ball in his hands as a runner, receiver and I’m sure at some point a passer. Hill won’t finish as a top-12 tight end every week, but he will have outings where he wins games for fantasy owners.
