Fields has hit this mark in three straight games. With that in mind …
D.J. Moore longest reception over 23.5 yards
Moore crosses this nearly every time he and Fields have played together. Fields holds the ball, pushes downfield. The Vikings don’t give much help in coverage, using an extremely high blitz rate. Perhaps this means Fields never holds the ball long enough to attack downfield, but Moore’s ability after the catch should result in an explosive gain if that script occurs.
Parlay: Bears -2.5 alternate spread + under 50.5 alternate total
The Bears’ defense has strung together better performances over the last three weeks, finding themselves around the middle of the pack in EPA allowed and success rate. The counter here is that the Vikings are more well coached and at home. My gut tells me that Justin Fields is hungry to prove his worth. Joshua Dobbs is an amazing story and capable, but he’s still learning on the fly and the Bears’ defense will present challenges similar to the Broncos.
