2023 marks PressBox’s seventh annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Goal
We’re still not quite sure how Navy men’s lacrosse’s Henry Tolker pulled this off against Boston University in April.
Tolker picked up a ground ball with his back to BU’s goal, then spun through three defenders before firing a no-look, over-the-shoulder shot that found the back of the net.
“Just saw the ball on the ground, picked it up and I knew if I were to pull it out, there’d only be like two seconds on the shot clock so I was like, ‘Why not? Let’s see what happens,'” Tolker told PressBox in April. “Luckiest goal. It was all luck.”
