2023 marks PressBox’s seventh annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Leap(s) Of Faith
After parting ways with Greg Roman, the Ravens were in the market for an offensive coordinator. The problem was that they couldn’t say definitively who their quarterback would be with Lamar Jackson still unsigned.
Thanks in part to a tip from his sister Joani and brother-in-law (and former Georgia basketball coach) Tom Crean, the Ravens took a swing at Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken in February.
Monken decided to make the jump despite the uncertainty under center, and it proved to be a smart decision for all involved.
