2023 marks PressBox’s seventh annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Documentary
The 121st edition of ESPN’s 30 For 30 film series premiered in February and immediately became a local favorite.
“Bullies of Baltimore” told the story of the Super Bowl XXXV champion Baltimore Ravens and their record-setting defense. Much of the story was told by the members of the team themselves, using footage from a 2022 event at the Meyerhoff.
The star of the film was without question the late Tony Siragusa, whose colorful stories included one in particular about taking an enema before a game in Washington, where the team was quite unfortunately wearing white pants.
