Maryland junior outfielder Elijah Lambros recently chatted with PressBox about his favorite pregame meal, his favorite sports star growing up and more. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound outfielder hit .288/.404/.541 with 26 extra-base hits for the Terps in 2023. A native of Fredericksburg, Va., Lambros began his college career at South Carolina before transferring to Maryland.

PressBox: What’s your favorite “guilty” food?
Elijah Lambros: I feel like a lot of people don’t like porridge, but I will crush porridge, Cream of Wheat.

PB: What’s your favorite pregame meal?
EL: I’ll go Chipotle. A normal bowl — white rice, double steak, cheese, sour cream, corn, lettuce, black beans.

PB: What’s a bucket-list place you’ve never been?
EL: Dubai

PB: Who was your favorite sports star as a kid?
EL: Andrew McCutchen

PB: What was your favorite sports team growing up?
EL: Steelers. On my dad’s side, almost all of them are from Pennsylvania and they’re all Eagles fans except for me and my grandfather, who are Steelers fans.

PB: What’s your favorite movie of all time?
EL: “Remember the Titans”

PB: If you could trade places with any movie or TV character, who would it be?
EL: Mandalorian

PB: What’s your favorite thing to do on a day off?
EL: Play video games. Right now, I’m playing a lot of “Fortnite,” but normally I play “MLB The Show” or “Madden.”

PB: What’s your go-to karaoke song?
EL: “Dog Days Are Over”

PB: What’s your favorite Big Ten road trip?
EL: Probably my favorite would be Indiana. … The ball flies there. The pitchers they throw out are amazing.
