2025 marks PressBox’s ninth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Breakthrough
Our Lady of Mount Carmel boys’ basketball won MIAA A Conference and Baltimore Catholic League titles for the first time since joining the leagues in 2011.
The Cougars defeated Saint Frances, 63-58, in the MIAA A championship game in February and beat Mount Saint Joseph, 53-38, in the BCL title game in March, finishing the season 34-4. Junior Mancho (Cameroon), Harmony Okojie (Toronto) and Ralph Rudusans (Latvia) brought some international flair to head coach Tony Martin’s squad.
