Navy football kicks off its 141st season Sept. 4 against Marshall, and the Midshipmen expect a capacity crowd for the first time since 2019 after the COVID-19 pandemic kept fans away last season. “We’re a tough team to beat at home,” coach Ken Niumatalolo said. “With the Mids here, a capacity stadium, it’s a great home-field advantage for us.”

Struggles at quarterback last season led to Navy’s worst offensive season in recent memory, as the Mids averaged just 275 yards per game. But head coach Ken Niumatalolo isn’t worried that it will carry over into 2021. “We’ll be back,” Niumatalolo said. “I’m not worried about that.”
