2021 marks PressBox’s fifth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Return
Calvert Hall announced in June that 2002 Hall graduate Gary Neal would return to coach the varsity basketball team and teach at the school.
Neal enjoyed a seven-year NBA career from 2010-2017, with his first three years coming in San Antonio with excellent Spurs teams. Prior to taking the job at Calvert Hall, Neal was a graduate assistant at Towson, where he played from 2005-2007.
The Cardinals’ last MIAA A Conference title came in 2015. We won’t bet against Neal adding a championship soon.
