Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey will miss the team’s season opener against Houston on Sept. 10, as he has been declared out with a foot injury according to the team’s final injury report. Tight end Mark Andrews, who has been battling a quad injury for the past couple of weeks, is listed as questionable, and neither he nor head coach John Harbaugh would give any indication about his availability.

Those are the only two players on the Ravens’ final injury report. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and tackle Ronnie Stanley had been listed at times this week as limited with ankle injuries, but neither has a final injury designation.

Humphrey’s availability for Week 1 has been in doubt since mid-August, when he underwent a foot procedure that was expected to sideline him for about a month. At the time, Harbaugh said Humphrey opted for the operation at the time to minimize disruption during the regular season.

The Ravens will hope Humphrey is available next week when the team visits Cincinnati in a big AFC North contest and a rematch of a 2022 playoff game won by the Bengals.

Humphrey played in all 17 games last season and made the Pro Bowl for the third time in the past four years. He is the Ravens’ top cover cornerback and one of their most indispensable defensive players. Brandon Stephens is listed as Humphrey’s backup on the official depth chart, and the outside corner group against Houston could include a rotation of Stephens, Rock Ya-Sin and Ronald Darby, who was signed during training camp.

Andrews returned to practice this week in a limited capacity after missing more than a week with a quad injury. When asked on Thursday about his availability for the opener, the Pro Bowl tight end said, “It’s one of those things that’s been a little tricky, but (I’m) feeling better, running around … We’ll see what happens.”

Andrews led the Ravens in every receiving category last year with 73 catches for 847 yards and five touchdowns. Two years ago, he set career highs with 107 catches and 1,361 receiving yards, both of which are franchise records.

If Andrews can’t play, the Ravens and new offensive coordinator Todd Monken will turn to Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar, two second-year tight ends who flashed last season in the 2022 regular-season finale that Andrews sat out.

Harbaugh didn’t offer any clarity about Andrews’ availability, deferring to the injury report.

For the Texans, under new head coach DeMeco Ryans, starting safety Jimmie Ward (hip) has been ruled out, along with linebacker Blake Cashman and wide receiver John Metchie III.
