2023 marks PressBox’s seventh annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Minor League Season
Jackson Holliday hit .323/.442/.499 with 51 extra-base hits across four minor league levels at the age of 19 … but there were plenty of other prospects who kept up.
Coby Mayo posted 77 extra-base hits between two levels. Connor Norby had 64 extra-base hits at Triple-A Norfolk. Samuel Basallo slugged .551 across three levels in his age-18 season.
But the answer here is still Holliday, the precocious infielder on the fast track to Baltimore.
