2023 marks PressBox’s seventh annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.

Maryland men’s basketball was searching for a true statement win to buttress its resume when No. 3 Purdue came to College Park in February.
The Boilermakers had two six-point leads in the first half, but the second half marked the Terps’ best stanza of the season.
Maryland outscored Purdue, 43-26, thanks in part to a 29-4 run. The Terps made 17 of 27 second-half field goals and 13 of 16 during the big run. It all led to fans storming the court.
“I got caught in that, actually,” Jahmir Young said. “It was hot and everybody was jumping.”
