2025 marks PressBox’s ninth annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best Immortality
There was no doubt that Carmelo Anthony (Towson Catholic) would be a first-ballot selection to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
In September, the 12th-leading scorer in NBA history was officially inducted into the hallowed halls of Springfield, Mass.
And in October, that induction was celebrated in his hometown with the opening of the “House of Melo” exhibit at the central location of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, celebrating his path from the streets of Baltimore to the Hall of Fame.
