Josh Bynes, Zion Elee, Rick Minter and Pam Ward recently joined Glenn Clark Radio. Here’s what they had to say.

“What I loved about Jesse was he’s patient, calm and a very good teacher. He’s not a guy that’s going to go crazy on you and stuff like that. He will — he has that moment — but he has a welcoming spirit and invites you in.”
Ravens Super Bowl XLVII champion linebacker and current Seahawks linebackers coach Josh Bynes Feb. 2 on new Ravens head coach Jesse Minter

“It was definitely a big deal. There was some controversy where he wasn’t about to stay, but when Maryland made that decision to keep him, I was pretty excited and I was still ready to go.”
Five-star Saint Frances EDGE Zion Elee Dec. 31 on whether Maryland retaining Michael Locksley was critical in his decision to remain committed to the Terps

“Jesse has always been a Pied Piper type person. People want to follow him. People want to embrace him. He’s not abrasive, he’s firm, he’s attentive to detail and all that. He doesn’t chase people away from him with his words and his actions. He attracts people. And the players here in L.A. just bought right into him. He’s got a great message. He’s got a great scheme. He’s passed me way up in the schematic world.”
Former University of Cincinnati football coach (and Jesse’s dad) Rick Minter Jan. 26 on what the “special sauce” is for the new Ravens coach

“There were not a lot of opportunities, but I didn’t have a Plan B. So I knew I just wanted to kind of forge ahead. … I went as an anchor when ESPNews started in 1996, but had them write in my contract that I had to keep doing play-by-play. And fortunately within six years I was able to parlay that into entirely doing play-by-play, which was a dream come true.”
Legendary play-by-play voice and Maryland graduate Pam Ward Jan. 7 on whether she could have envisioned her incredible career when she was working at WBAL Radio 30 years ago
