For Week 17, I might as well just flip coins, wish on a star or get a tarot reading, so … here are a few players at each position I think you could use in a pinch this weekend who may be slightly off your radar:
Quarterback
• Drew Lock (Denver Broncos): Yes, again.
• Gardner Minshew (Jacksonville Jaguars): See Drew Lock.
• Case Keenum (Washington Redskins): It’s a must-win game for the Cowboys, so they give up 40, right?
Running Back
• Travis Homer (Seattle Seahawks): Who else do they have?
• Justice Hill (Baltimore Ravens): Could he see 20 touches against the Steelers?
• Mike Boone (Minnesota Vikings): He burned everyone last week, so this week he laughs in your direction.
Wide Receiver
• Justin Watson (Tampa Bay Buccaneers): Same as last week, the forgotten wide receiver.
• Steven Sims Jr. (Washington Redskins): He was terrific in Week 16. Can he do it again?
• Greg Ward (Philadelphia Eagles): Like last week, he is the only game in town for the Eagles at wide receiver.
• Chris Hogan (Carolina Panthers): If DJ Moore is out, Hogan could get some looks.
Tight End
• Dallas Goedert (Philadelphia Eagles): Zach Ertz is iffy to play, and even if he does play, he will not be 100 percent.
• Gerald Everett (Los Angeles Rams): Everyone scores against the Cardinals.
• Nick Boyle/Hayden Hurst (Baltimore Ravens): One of them scores a touchdown against the Steelers … which one is your call.
Sleeper defense: New York Jets
Need a kicker? Sam Ficken. I mean, it’s a kicker … throw a dart!
