It was relatively quiet on the injury list other than one big blow. The season-ending injury to Trey Lance is a blow to those who believed the second-year quarterback to be a league winner. There are a few running back situations to keep an eye on and some pass catchers who could bolster your team.

Here are my top pickups entering Week 3:

Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Miami Dolphins: I was skeptical about almost all the Dolphins this summer because of Tagovailoa. I didn’t trust him to support two fantasy-relevant receivers. He made me a believer on Sunday. If you’re looking for an injury replacement for Lance, Tagovailoa is an option. He’s in that QB12-15 range for me.

Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, San Francisco 49ers: Garoppolo only needs to be added if you’re in a 2QB league, but he is a boost for Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk.

Jamaal Williams, RB, Detroit Lions: He’s a thorn in your side if you own D’Andre Swift. Williams finished with 12 carries compared to five for Swift, who is dealing with an ankle injury. The Lions want to keep Williams involved in the game plan each week, which means he must be rostered.

Tyrion Davis-Price, RB, San Francisco 49ers: Jeff Wilson led the Niners in touches (20) and yards from scrimmage (103), but Davis-Price did have 14 rushing attempts. If you have the roster room to stash a backup running back, grab Davis-Price.

James Robinson, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars: Robinson was mentioned last week but it bears repeating that he’s the top back in Jacksonville. He had 25 touches and a score, compared to 12 for Travis Etienne.

Raheem Mostert, RB, Miami Dolphins: This situation turned into a headache quickly. Chase Edmonds was the top running back in Week 1, but Mostert led the Dolphins in touches this week. Pick up Mostert and monitor this for the time being.

Darrell Williams and Eno Benjamin, RB, Arizona Cardinals: James Conner left the game with an ankle injury and the duo shared the running back duties in his absence. No word on the severity of the injury as of this writing, but Williams would be the player to target if Conner misses extended time.

Jakobi Meyers, WR, New England Patriots: Meyers was one of the more dropped players last week, so grab him if he’s available. His 13 targets were more than double Nelson Agholor, who was second on the team with six. Meyers isn’t flashy but he’s consistent.

Curtis Samuel, WR, Washington Commanders: He leads the team in targets and has a touchdown in each game. It’s no fluke, either. Samuel is going to be an integral part of the Commanders’ offense as a receiver and in the running game.

Gerald Everett, TE, Los Angeles Chargers: With Keenan Allen out due to injury, Everett was the biggest beneficiary. He finished with six receptions for 71 yards on 10 targets. Justin Herbert has plenty of mouths to feed, but Everett will get his targets. He’s a back-end TE1.

Evan Engram, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars: He only posted 46 yards but led the Jags in targets (eight) and receptions (seven) this week. Those targets will turn into bigger outputs in the near future.

Philadelphia Eagles, D/ST: The Eagles play on Monday night, but their schedule in the coming weeks is fantasy friendly. They play the Commanders in Week 3, followed by the Jaguars, Cardinals, Cowboys and a Week 7 bye. After the time off, they have the Steelers, Texans and Commanders once again. Grab them now.
