Best Injury Replacement
Trey Mancini never quite found his footing in Houston, hitting just .176 during the regular season and posting one hit in 24 postseason plate appearances. But when regular Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel suffered a knee injury during a rundown in Game 5 of the World Series, manager Dusty Baker turned to Mancini. The Astros were ahead, 3-2, in the bottom of the eighth inning when Kyle Schwarber stepped to the plate with runners on first and third. Schwarber smoked a 1-2 pitch down the first base line, but Mancini made a lunging play to snag the ball and step on first. Two days later, Mancini and the Astros celebrated a championship.
