2023 marks PressBox’s seventh annual Best Of edition celebrating the top people, performances and moments of the year.
Best On The Bump
Archbishop Spalding baseball defended its MIAA A Conference crown in the spring due in no small part to the right arm of Parker Thomas, who went 8-0 with a 0.70 ERA and 89 strikeouts in 59.2 innings for the Cavaliers.
He threw a two-hit shutout against Calvert Hall in May to clinch the championship. He is now preparing for his freshman season at East Carolina.
“I am trying to go out there and be myself and be the best I can be for my team always. That’s the most important thing,” Thomas told PressBox in the spring.
