It’s old hat for one … and brand new for another. UMBC volleyball won a fourth consecutive America East championship, while Coppin State volleyball won its first-ever MEAC title.
Plenty of similarities can be drawn between the successful campaigns, but how about key contributors on both teams hailing from Bulgaria?
UMBC’s Mila Ilieva (102 blocks) earned second-team all-conference honors, while Coppin’s Andrea Tsvetanova (986 assists) was recognized as the MEAC Setter of the Year for a second straight year.
